Capcom releases its first card game in the market

Capcom has announced a new digital card fighting game Teppen, and there are reports that the new game has all the star characters from the company’s biggest series. Talking about the characters that the card game consists, Teppen has characters such as “Street Fighter brawler Ryu and Mega Man, the protagonist of the eponymous sci-fi shooter and platforming series.”

Before officially announcing the game in the market, Capcom first send out invites to influencers to play a secretive game called “Project Battle,” said our news sources. Teppen is available on both iOS and Android devices, and the game features real-time battles with cards of various characters from Capcom series.

In the trailer that Capcom launched recently, players can be seen getting an “MP Gauge,” which fills up and allows them to place cards on the battlefield. The characters inside the game have attack and defense points. “Players can choose a hero, such as Chun-Li and Mega Man, and then add characters, such as Street Fighter‘s Zangief and Ryu, to their decks to take down opponents,” according to sources.

Teppen is another card battle game from a big publisher. The other card games in the market include Blizzard’s Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, the game has characters from across the Warcraft series. Also, there is Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, which has characters from Witcher like Geralt and Ciri. Recently, Bethesda has also released a new card game in the market, and it goes by the name The Elder Scrolls: Legends.

Besides having a battle mode, the card game Teppen also has a story mode. The story mode of the game includes characters like “Street Fighter‘s Ryu and Chun-Li, Resident Evil‘s Albert Wesker, Devil May Cry‘s Dante, and Monster Hunter World‘s Nergigante and Rathalos.” All these characters “battle through the Land of Illusion to find the truth.”
